I absolutely love the packaging of these cleaning products. It's brilliant! The words stand out in their bright colours on the white/transparent labels and the copy is so witty. Definitely an inspirational piece. Speaking of packaging, here is a great dieline tutorial for any designers that are interested (thanks again Clay!)
I agree. When I first saw that in Packaging Magazine I was blown away. Very clever and gutsy move. I don't know how it will play out in the marketplace five years from now but it's truly a post modern approach. This would not have worked in the 50's and 60's as it requires a certain jadedness and self awareness of our marketing culture to get the joke.
ReplyDeleteAnd too risqué for the 50's, I can definitely see some of the copy being taken as sexual innuendos
